Announcing...

We went in last Saturday to be induced and after almost 8 hours of labor and 2 epidurals that didn't work, we got our little Penelope. :) She is such a sweet baby. It took a few nights to figure out that she might want to go to sleep before 5 in the morning- but she has now learned to take longer naps which means her mommy is less emotional and puffy in her eyes.

I wish I could thank the anonymous person who dropped off the little Santa hats and stockings at the hospital because it made me so happy to have the nursery bring her to me in this one night.

And we have to put this picture in because it's our girl's favorite. It looks like she is wondering whose hand is hitting her in the face. :)
A big thank you to my sister (Kristie) for creating that cute announcement at the top and Seth's sister (Hanna) for taking such cute pictures of our new little girly!

Wow! You guys did a great job. She is so precious, beautiful, and HERE! Mom and I love the pictures. We both feel badly that we can't be there to see you and Penelope. Mom is still too sick, and I'm too far away. But I will be there next week. So I hope to see you in person.

Love, Dad & Mom Hippen

I hope the weather calms down so we can see you guys. If the weather isn't bad, one or more of the kids are sick. No germs aloud. Good luck, let me know if there is anything we can do.

WHOO-HOO! Congratulations! What a beautiful baby.

We're celebrating Gloria's birthday today. She was born on Christmas Eve eight years ago, so we understand the joy you all are going through to have a little bundle of joy show up in time for Christmas.

Congratulations, and thank you so much for the announcement!

BTW I have to comment on the pic where she is hitting herself in the face. My hubby tried to tell me once that Tai Chi is modeled after babies because of their natural moves. I immediately started punching my face, and saying "I'm doing Tai Chi!"

Congratulations to you both, and welcome to little Penelope.

When Gloria was born we did the same humiliating thing; stuffed her into a stocking and took lots of pictures!
