What a find!

Well I finally did it! I have been looking for the perfect frame for almost 2 years for Seth's Halloween family portrait he made of us. About a month ago I found this beauty in an antique shop. I fell in love with it. We had been looking for a frame that was gold or we could paint gold, that's design came out at the edges and preferably in the middle of each side and looked old. Well this had everything we wanted. It was the right measurements to the 1/4 inch! It was made for this painting. Bless that little frame workers heart who made this over 100 years ago just waiting for us to find it. :) It is from the 1880's and had an original watercolor/charcoal inside with it's original glass as well. We have kept it all in tact, just put it all behind Seth's oil painting. Best news of all... my mom and I talked the owner down big time! Yipee!!! I had to walk away from it that day knowing it was still not in our budget, but as soon as I finished my taxes and realized we were getting a refund I went straight to that shop yesterday (crossing my fingers it wasn't gone- it wasn't- I had hid it :) and saved its lovely little life. Now it hangs beautifully in Seth's art studio/office on the main great wall. So HAPPY! :)
