Getting Help with the Laundry

Our laundry has been piling up all week. I didn't fold it at night like I usually do, because I figure I'm on Christmas vacation :) Needless to say it filled and overflowed Penelope's unused crib (she prefers her port-a-crib) and I decided to recruit the entire family.

So first we grabbed all the laundry and put it in the middle of the family room. Seeing it in such a big pile reminded us of fall leaves and so naturally we had to jump in it over and over and over again. :) We learned a few things from this...

1. Seth learned that his body is older and it hurts his backside to jump into such a "hard pile of clothes."

2. Makenzie learned that if you hit the pile at just the right angle it forces dry boogers to fly out of your nose. She was very excited about this discovery while mom was disgusted and considered washing the whole pile again.

3. Kendyl discovered it's much more fun to jump in laundry than to separate and fold.

4. Pip discovered that if the pile is too steep you'll roll off the edge onto the wood floor.

5. Mom was reminded that all fun/rowdy things end in tears. Well that is until she says that out loud while promptly making 2 children stop crying and swear that they are happy and can they please keep doing it.

Here are some pictures from our escapade.
