Sometimes you just get lucky and have a perfect moment in a day. This was one of those days. We decided to go exploring and found a beautiful grassy trail.Kendyl found "fairy gems" broken pieces of cobalt glass which we let her hold if she did it very carefully.

There was even a hole in the center of a tree that we were pretty sure led to another land.

The trail had a path that went off it that we decided to follow and ended up at a huge rock. There was a sign that said it

was a rock that had been deposited by a glacier long long ago. We took turns making up a story about the rock and how it got there as we sat on the benches by it. We made up that the glacier was passing through to find his mommy, but thought this forest was so beautiful that he'd leave his heart here. The rock was the protection that held his heart in the center of it. :)

As we were taking turns telling the story a butterfly zoomed all around us landing on us sometimes. Kendyl decided that the butterfly was protecting the glacier's heart and that we needed to prove we were friends and needed to dance for the butterfly. Then the butterfly danced all around us too. When we left the girls made sure that we deeply bowed and curtsied to the butterfly and the glacier's rock. It was so fun! So nerdy and so fun. :) I am so grateful to have a husband who will join in with these silly adventures and be such a fun dad to our princesses. Sometimes you just get lucky.

Likewise, I'm glad you're not so stuffy, yourself. That was a fun hike, fo sho.
What a fun adventure. It looked absolutely beautiful that day. And what a fun thing to come across. I love all the pretending. :)
Your girls are growing up!
So fun!
I can't help it - I admit to being extremely jealous of this spot you've found! I sooo want to go there! I finished reading a book called Wings and this is exactly how I pictured the fairy-meeting place! SOO Beautiful!
